In 1897, in the beautiful Tuscany region of Italy, two friends began to investigate the possibility of solving microbial decontamination without the use of chemicals using Ultraviolet light's C-spectrum, which was known by the scientific community to be a highly effective germicide.
At this time, the use of UV-C as a germicidal technology was at its infancy; our founders led pioneering research studies across industrial applications. This scientific approach of exploring, analyzing, and problem-solving effective and cost-effective innovation is still at the heart of how we think and what we do.
Our founder's initial results and prototypes were surprisingly effective and, from the earliest iterations of research, the real production of our germicidal ultraviolet rays units for air treatment began. By installing and testing these UV-C lights in food production and healthcare facilities, our founders continued their application research by developing their products around the realities of real-world uses.
Today, we have over 200 proprietary anti-microbial UV-C products used by thousands of major companies around the world. Our products in the healthcare and pharmaceutical verticals keep millions of people safe every day. And, our research and testing for over 30 years have made germicidal UV technology into the proven and effective solution it is today.
