UV-C Disinfection Systems for HVAC
Indoor Air Quality is usually more toxic than the one we breathe in an industrial city.
Do you know why? Danger microorganisms, proliferate inside air conditioning, worsening air quality and damaging its structures.
Using UV-C in HVAC Applications
Air Conditioning systems, and especially A.H.U. (Air Handling Unit), is the perfect microcosm for the growth and distribution of microbial organisms, pathogens, spores, molds, etc. Air recirculation, temperature fluctuations, and humidity allow them to combine with each other in complex ways and settle all over surfaces inside the AC system in the form of an unpleasant biofilm. This biofilm adheres particularly in between the fins of heat exchangers (coils), it settles in water collection tanks and clogs the filters inside ducts. A biofilm of less than 0.5 mm can reduce system efficiency by up to 40%.

Light Progress Ultraviolet Germicidal Devices can solve all HVAC hygiene and efficiency problems because:
Â

COMPLETELY ELIMINATES THE MICROBIAL CHARGE
Kills Legionella, TB, viruses, molds, and mites, which contaminate the air and the surfaces of the plants.

IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF UTA, SAVING ENERGY
UV-C systems keep the system clean, preserving the performance of the components and their operation.

IT IS ECOLOGICAL, SAFE AND GUARANTEES HIGH LEVELS OF AIR QUALITY
All this avoiding the need for continuous and expensive cleaning.
Â

NO TO CHEMICAL PRODUCTS!
The UV-C method is physical, therefore it reduces the use of chemical products for cleaning, useful credit for obtaining the LEED certification, Indoor environment quality (Green Building Council)
